Here is the God Of War Ragnarök Invasive Species trophy guide where we will help you complete all of the Crater Hunts.
The Crater Hunts will appear on your World overview as either Dragon Hunts or Epic Hunts depending on the type of enemy you are facing and there are 9 in total to complete with them having various levels in difficulty.
Before you can access every Crater Hunt in God Of War Ragnarök you will firstly need to progress through the story to the Creatures of Prophecy main story quest where you rescue Freyr, then, on your way back to the Mystic Gateway you will encounter Lúnda’s Dog, Helka where you will begin the Scent of Survival Favour, which, once completed, will land you in The Crater.
Then, in order to complete every Crater Hunt, you will also need to flood The Crater making every area you need accessible which is done by completing the Return of the River Favour in The Jungle.
Some fights will see you face off against fully grown Dragons, where as others will require you to take down an enchanted pile of rocks.
Every Crater Hunt is tied in to various Favours that you complete throughout the 3 main areas in The Crater and will need to be completed in order to consider the Crater Hunt complete, just taking the bosses down isn’t enough, you will need to finish each of the 9 Favours as well.
Given that you’re in Vanaheim, the time of day will play an important part as you progress through the various Favours which can be changed at any Celestial Altar as long as all enemies in the local area are taken down.
The Crater Hunts you need and the best order to do them in whilst avoiding a lot of back and forth through the areas are as follows:
- In Plain Sight.
- For Vanaheim!.
- Nocturnal Predator.
- What Lies Below.
- Trail Of The Dead.
- Path Of Destruction.
- In The Dead Of Night.
- Quaking Hollow.
- The Burning Skies.
Ensure you apply any and all Armour and Weapon upgrades you can before going for the Crater Hunts as some of them can be a challenge, especially the Dragon you face in Trail of the Dead.
All 9 Crater Hunts you need to complete are as follows:
In Plain Sight
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Plains.
You will need to examine 3 corpses then take down the Soul Eater boss in order to complete the In Plain Sight Favour.

Vanaheim, The Crater, The Plains.
During the Creatures of Prophecy main story quest, your ally sacrificed himself to keep you all safe. It’s only right that we go and rescue him.
The only problem is there’s a fully grown Dragon standing in between you both.

Nocturnal Predator
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Plains.
Firstly, ensure the time of day is Night then banish the Wisps back in to their Shrines allowing you to engage in a tough fight against a Phantom who is as fiery as it is powerful.

What Lies Below
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Jungle.
You will begin this Favour as you progress through the Return of the River Favour before opening the floodgates and you will have a powerful pair of Dreki to take down when you get to their lair.

Trail Of The Dead
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Jungle.
After bringing the water back once you have completed the Return of the River Favour you will be able to track down The Corpse Eater who not only likes eating Deer, it also gobbles down Ogres and Axe wielding Gods where it can.

Path Of Destruction
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Jungle.
When you first enter The Jungle you will come across a series of large footprints. We need to track down the overgrown beast and put it down for good.
Before you can do that, however, you will firstly need to complete the Return of the River Favour making every area you need accessible and get ready for this one as it can be as tricky to take down as it is getting it to spawn.

In The Dead Of Night
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Plains.
Before you can access this Favour you will firstly have needed to complete the Return of the River Favour in order to make the area you need accessible. It will also need to be night time then follow the trail of spit around to The Plains to a very powerful, poisonous foe.

Quaking Hollow
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Sinkholes.
Slide down in to The Sinkholes and follow the round where the ground will shake underneath you beginning the Favour. Make your way down in to the depths of the Earth to find the prehistoric behemoth.

The Burning Skies
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Sinkholes.
Ensure you have completed the Return of the River Favour before going for your target who is an oversized Dragon found through a Draugr infested furnace in the darkest sections of the realm.
Climb out of the ruins and head round to be ambushed by a very powerful foe who you need to remove before taking on the awaiting Dragon.
